Modern learning in the context of avalanches
Introducing training opportunities that many people are not yet aware of
It is absolutely crucial to avoid triggering an avalanche by acting cautiously. If an accident does occur, however, every minute counts when it comes to rescue .
It is therefore essential to know how to use avalanche transceivers and probes safely.
Let's be honest: throughout the winter, searching and probing are often practiced very little or not at all—even though it could be so easy.
Have you ever heard of ATC – Avalanche Training Centers?
If not, you've come to the right place.
ATCs are specially equipped training fields where you can practice realistic searches with avalanche transceivers and probes.

Avalanche Training Center
ATCs are specially equipped training fields where you can practice realistic searches with avalanche transceivers and probes — free of charge, anytime , and without much effort.
No more tedious burying of backpacks, no more excuses about not enough snow.
And best of all: both single and multiple burials can be trained.
How do the training fields work?
One or more avalanche transceiver signals can be activated on a training field.
The "buried" persons must be located and probed by the trainee. Only an active probe hit marks the person as found.
In training mode, the transmitters are activated randomly and the time measurement starts automatically.
Three consecutive probe hits at one-second intervals confirm the location. As soon as all activated transmitters have been correctly located – or the time has expired – the end of the exercise is signaled acoustically. The required search time for each individual transmitter is then displayed.
In expert mode, the transmitters can be activated and deactivated manually—ideal for targeted, demanding training.
Our conclusion
This form of training is fast, straightforward, and indispensable in an emergency.
Practice realistically, consolidate procedures, and establish routines—exactly what counts in an emergency.
